Great Chef Adventure

A Delectable Success

Samaritan Center's signature fundraiser of the year, the Great Chef Adventure, returned to the Willoughby Golf Club on February 11.  The packed crowd enjoyed a silent auction with a myriad of choices for everyone, a three-course gourmet luncheon prepared by the area's finest chefs, and a presentation by our keynote speakers, former student Gabe Miranda and his mother, Natalie Coggeshal.  In their heartfelt talk, they demonstrated first-hand the positive and profound impact that Samaritan Center's program has had on their entire family.
Then it was time for the live auction, where our exceptionally generous patrons bid on such needed improvements to the Samaritan Center campus as a new roof on the Meadow Cottage, campus maintenance and improved communications tools.  Bidders could also sponsor a boy and family and help our boys experience off-campus activities.
Thanks to Chef Michel Personnaz, MCF and Executive Chef of Jupiter Island Club, for again donating a world-class dining experience for the lucky winning bidders in their home.  Thanks also to Martin County Sheriff William D. Snyder for his "Sheriff for a Day" auction item.  We'll stay tuned for the arresting developments on that one!
We are truly blessed, and extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and made this year's event an unqualified success!

Carl's Cares

Samaritan Center was honored to be the first local non-profit to be featured in a new initiative launched by Carl’s Buick GMC:  Carl’s Cares.  As Carl’s spotlighted charity for July 2019, Samaritan Center received a donation for every car sold - a total of $2,200!  Carl’s also helped us educate the public about Samaritan Center by inviting us to share our story with their sales staff and displaying our brochures in their showroom. The generous people at Carl’s, have already been instrumental in helping Samaritan Center obtain a new van at a price we could afford.  They are truly a valued community partner.
