First, the Adventure has a new location this year: The Willoughby Golf Club. When the doors will open at 11:00 a.m. on February 6, guests will have the opportunity to visit an array of hors d'oeuvres stations (another new feature), where they can sample delicious appetizers and mingle with the guest chefs and Samaritan Center students. This is also the chance to get your bid in on a wide array of items offered during the silent auction - everything from personalized pottery created by Samaritan Center students (offered for the first time) to tastings and golf outings.
A gourmet, three-course luncheon will be served at noon, created by this year's superb culinary team. Then get ready for the live auction, which for the first time features luxury items that are all culinary based
, including: a gourmet dinner for eight in your home created by Chef Michel Personnaz, MCF, of the Jupiter Island Club; a New Orleans Cooking School Experience for two; and a Napa Valley Wine Train Winery Tour for two. You won't want to miss out! Learn more here
Also new this year are:
- The first ever, limited edition Samaritan Center Cookbook, featuring the best-loved recipes of the boys who are a part of our program, peppered with sayings, photos and anecdotes. As a special bonus, we've also included select recipes from this year's Great Chefs. The cookbook will be on sale at the event, and makes a great gift for the favorite "foodies" in your life - especially with Valentine's Day and Mother's Day just around the corner.
- Food collection for the community: As part of the Samaritan Center's "Attitude of Gratitude," we are collecting non-perishable food items to be donated to the House of Hope's food bank. We ask you to join us by bringing an item with you to the event.
- A scrumptious "send-off" - a special thank you gift for event guests, created by our students.
